Heli Fly Fishing Trips Taihape

Experience what is truly special about New Zealand with a single day or overnight or even a multiday heli trip from Taihape. A heli trip will put you on rivers that see few anglers, hold large New Zealand trout and have clear cool water for a great fishing trip. Available 1st October to 30 April. Best time is December to March when the rivers are low and clear.

Pick up is normally at 8.30am from your accommodation, return to Taihape by 5.30pm on the final day of your trip.

Prices for Heli fly fishing trips

Prices will vary depending on the flights required at the time. Normal daily guide rate applies + heli fees Overnight trips incur a $180 camp out fee.

Trips include: Pick up and drop off from your accommodation in Taihape. Professional guide each day of your trip. Use of equipment if required. Lunch each day of your trip. Dinner and breakfast on overnight trips. Equipment for overnight campouts Additional costs: Fishing licences(NZ $22.50 per person/per day).
